I have been doing artwork since I was about 12 years old and sold my first drawing.
In high school I advertised in the local paper to do dog and horse portraits and that is how I earned my spending money. After high school I studied painting and drawing for one year at the University of Regina, and a year at the University
of Saskatchewan. From there
I went on to become a commercial artist, getting training on the job. I worked
at that for several years before deciding I preferred to have my art as a hobby. Over
the years my work has been accepted into juried exhibitions, and one of my works toured the province for a year as part of
the Saskatchewan Talent Hunt Exhibition. Some of my paintings are in the CKCK
TV collection in B.C. I’ve worked in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pen, colored
pencil and gouache. Colored pencil and acrylic are my favorite mediums, and dogs
are my favorite subjects.
